Accountability
The primary purpose of the ALMA Review Board is to investigate and mediate complaints amongst the membership of ALMA, between members of ALMA and other healthcare providers, and between members of ALMA and the community they serve. This process provides accountability and reassurance to midwifery clients and community members, while simultaneously supporting midwives in their growth and development. In allowing for an opportunity to hear from all parties, the Review Board's objective is to bring midwives together to assist in respectful conflict resolution between complainant and midwife, ideally resulting in a resolution to a difficult situation and the enhancement of the practice of midwifery.
Complaints against midwives can be submitted to the ALMA Review Board by emailing [email protected].
